Pilot Cam

While sitting on another overseas flight staring at the flight map in front of me on an American Airlines 777, I thought of what I really want to see/stare at for 8 plus hours. In stead, I was being presented the normal set of screens. The normal screens consist of a map with your route traced out, your air speed, altitude, out side temperature, local time at your current location, the time where you came from and the time of the place you are going. There are a few more screens but that's about it.

What I would really like to see is the view the pilots are getting. How difficult would it be to install a camera that would give us a birds eye view of what the pilot are seeing and put that on a channel. Call it a pilot cam or plane cam. My guess is out of all the other channels, this one would be the most watched. In addition, how about a camera in the tail to show us where we have been. I think on a nice sunny day it would be very entertaining just to watch the jet stream forming being the plane.
